Lewis, who hadn’t tweeted since February 2022, opted to weigh in on Turner vs. Moicano after the fight, declaring it “Herb Dean fault.” While many praised Dean for allowing “Money” the opportunity to recover, Lewis believes otherwise. Explaining his comments in a recent interview, “The Black Beast” said that the fight should have been stopped when Moicano got dropped.
“I was watching the fight and Herb should have stopped the fight. It was one of the fights that the guy almost got knocked out but the other guy walked away," Lewis told Shakiel Mahjouri Shakiel Mahjouri. "He walked away, then the guy ended up losing… Herb didn’t stop the fight, he didn’t stop the fight. He was supposed to stop the fight. Because the guy got rocked and he was out of it, and the guy recovered because Herb didn’t stop the fight.”
Lewis is scheduled to headline UFC on ESPN 56 against Rodrigo Nascimento on Saturday at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The feared knockout artist is 1-4 in his last five and coming off a lopsided decision loss against Jailton Almeida.
